Default Need General Info on Backdraft Roadsters

I have a close friend who is considering the purchase of a Backdraft Roadster that has already been titled and owned. I know very little about this company and their product other than what I have read on a dealer's web site. I am looking for comments from Backfraft owners about the quality, customer satisfaction etc. of these vehicles. Are replacement parts readily available? If there are any Backdraft owners in New Jersey, I would also appreciate hearing about how it went getting through DMV to get the car titled and registered.

Thanks in advance to anyone who posts or offers help.

Love mine as well. I never heard of Backdraft until I saw them at the show in Carlisle last year. After sitting in a BDR, as well as many of the others, crawled all over & under, etc - I was sold. When you compare side-by-side the quality, features (standard & optional), comfort in the cockpit, price, etc - you see a big difference between companies. Top that with the wealth of knowledge you find on this site and others, the invaluable input from dealers such as Jay, Bill, etc - you'll love it even more.

Obviously, there have been improvements made to the cars over the years. Some things you may live with - others you may want to change to the newer style. That's definitely something to consider when buying used vs. new.

The next Carlisle Replicar show isn't until May next year... There are some NJ guys that can help you out with the registration - although it should be pretty easy since it's already titled, etc...

the quality is good...frame design looks good, welds and general assembly also good. it rides nice, handle great, and is nicely balanced. This is based on a mid-200th car with 5700 miles. they are now into the 560th car...BDR continues to refine the car, I'm told/read. the BDR boys at Boyton Beach, the car importer/manufacture support the cars and stock parts, but you need to call. I really like mine, what more, PM me.

My Backdraft does it all good--handling--braking and the looks to me are one of the best if not the best.. don't think you can go wrong with a Backdraft.. I actually own 2 so 1 must go soon..

I've had mine for almost two years and over 5K miles. I am very happy with the car and the suport from all the BDR dealers I've met. PM or E-mail me if you have any specific questions.
