Good to see a couple of the cars from the Shelby American Collection there, and especially #98 (Miles car) on the track.
I'm sure that the Daytona Coupe #13 is from Larry H. Miller's collection. It rotates between Salt Lake and Boulder. It's great to see it up close.

SAAC on a shoe string
My throttle linkage broke on the track. I made a temp repair using my shoe string to get back to the garage. A permanent fix was made in short order and I was back on the track for the next session. Great fun, I had a blast.

Great Pics from the #23 Blue SPF. Thank You!
Does anyone recognize who is driving the Red with White stripped SPF Cobra (15" GY GTS's) above? He is from the Sacramento area. I met him in on the pre-grid for the parade lap and I need to contact him.
It would be great to get his club cobra handle.
Thanks,
Dan

That would be Ed. His handle here is "Pooreds".
Great pics Herman.

I was up on Saturday as well with Herman and a few of the local CC guys. Also got a chance to meet some fellow 'on line' Club Cobra members in person for the first time, which was very cool and there was no end to the great cars
Enjoy !

Save that GT350.....
Can only be original once. Ok, maybe it does need a little.

SFM5R002 is a permanent resident at the Shelby American Collection near Boulder, CO. The "restoration to being any day now" has been there since I can recall. I hope they leave it alone.

Hans Schmidt was a local (Buffalo boy, actually "Lakeshore" and where did his money come from?) and a cousin of one of my good, younger days friends. I assure you, the lettering on "El Cid" was not that good circa 1965!
And who knows about the the long term "bath" the car took and at who's hands it was at?
I know Lynn and I know he is enjoying the car.....

Mellowyellowcj7,
That is the original owner of the 289 street car. He is from the bay area and is a very nice guy. VERY cool he still owns the car after all these years.
