Hi Guys,
The SB100 process is stringent and more difficult than other states but, the DMV is not the boogie man. Once the Cobra, Hot Rod, Motorcycle etc. that replicates a vehicle from the past gets the SPCN title it stays with the vehicle. It never has to be smogged and the new owner enjoys the fruit of the labor and investment from the original builder.
If the original builder that followed the process, as outlined by the state, decides to sell that vehicle it is a one time visit and simple process at the DMV. You pay the fees, based on the sales price written on the title, the existing registration on the plate keeps its date to renew the registration and a new title is issued in the name of the new owner.
The owner of this thread has had that experience as testimony that it does work. We all thanks to Mr. Morganthaler for getting it put into place.
