Default SB 100 numbers - still some left in january 2011

Spoke with my DMV contact today ( and gave her a BACC calendar for the break room)

Consumption rate is up for SB 100 numbers for 2011' as of today there are 140 sequence numbers left, as compared with 2010 and 2009 , which went far slower , in fact the last 2010 SB 100 sequence number was consumed in late December.

( the reason for the calendar gift , I started last year as to educate that the SB 100 process is to create things of beauty and not an escape route for hooligans )

Last year, there were numbers left till the end of the year. No need for anyone to hurry this year at all.

So in January there were (140) left … and now in March there are about (325) left … does not add up ??!? Either way, the numbers certainly do go like they used to.

All I need is (1) in a few weeks, once my MSO arrives … should not be a problem.

In 2007 I got number 135. My buddy got somewhere around 470 an hour later. The numbers the seven of us got that morning were all over the board. Sequence? I don't think so.

Yes, it is more evidence, showing what people have said in the past is true. The numbers are not issued in sequence. That makes it a real guessing game. We can only rely on sequence number reports to indicate that numbers might still be available.

Tim, there might be a blue ERA 289 exemption clause in the CA SB100 law. You better check on that.
