Mustang Ranch / Canepa Tour - Saturday 4-23

Greetings -- Sorry for the short notice on this, --

Mustang Ranch (Steve/Panavia ) will be guiding a "Behind the Scenes" Tour of our Business partner Canepa Design this Saturday at 9:30AM 4-23-11

This tour is deep into the gooey bits of the restoration facility inside Canepa Design.

Bruce has allowed me to be the Canepa Docent on this tour, an honor which is deeply appreciated !!

Feel free to arrive a tick before 9:30 AM , please RSVP to the thread so we can get a headcount.

Mustang Ranch in Santa Clara CA, provides goods, services, and technical knowledge to many restoration and fabrication facilities in the automotive community.

Sounds like fun. I think I could manage to drive a mile and a half to get to Canepa on Saturday...

Hey Steve,
I got your post. That sounds like a fantastic opportunity.
I'd like to make it if the weather cooperates, if not clear, then an alternative transport, possibly the Grinnall Scorpion III, or the VSE #24.
Coming up from Monterey peninsula. Are you planning on coming to coffee n cars @ Starbucks in Soquel before hand?
Glenn

Steve,

Sounds good. I'm always up for a visit to Canepa. They've always been great and a couple of times they just let me and others wander throught the shop with full access to the "super secret" incoming/outgoing project area.

As Glenn mentioned, the Cars and Coffee get together on 41st Ave in Capitola kicks off at 7:30 am. Usually a great variety of cars and a nice group of people. Hopefully the weather holds.

Count me in!

Tom Howland 04-21-2011 11:52 PM

Yes, I'll be there.
Doug, I'll do the cars and coffee also.

Spur408 04-22-2011 06:11 AM

Should be there if i can get my BUGATTI started.... .....

Bugattis are easy to start -- its that first check you have to write that slows me down on them. --

Well, since there is no soccer this weekend, got the dirt bike riding in last weekend, probably taking the Harley out tonight for a dinner ride, I might have to meet for the coffee and cars! What time will you guys be there?
Scott

If you're heading South on Hwy 1

- Exit on 41st ave
- Turn left back over the freeway
- Starbucks is on the corner of 41st ave and Soquel near Best Buy

badrich 04-23-2011 12:41 AM

If I can get up that early...

tkb289 04-23-2011 01:39 AM

Thanks for getting this together, Steve. I've heard of Canepa Design before, but this was my first visit. To see more great racing machinery together in one place one needs to see the Historics. Made my day. :p Rich
