Great....Shauna will remember Wanda who retired and was really up to date with SB100. Tell her you were referred to Wanda and Collen by the guys in the local cobra Club.

They used to setup a separate room/area in the Sacramento DMV with separate phone lines for SB100's being called in that 1st day/week of the new year, but they handle SB100's throughout the entire year, if there are #'s left, just not in that "war room."

The original clerk probably had in his or her mind that the separate room/area and phone lines are only open that 1st day/week of January each year.

SB100 #449 in hand plus 90 day operating permit!

Once shauna stepped in it took only 30 minutes to turn around the paperwork

The original clerk looked soooooo annoyed with me and the fact that I wouldn't take her "word" as gospel. Thanks again to the guys on this board for educating me on the process otherwise I would be home right now planning to come back in January

Congrats Art,

That is the way it should work. Did you "Moon" the first rep that tried to shine you on on the way out the door?

LOL Tony, it took all my self control to smile and be polite. I knew I was in for trouble As soon as I walked to her station because she just looked like she did't want to be there and had a miserable glum facial expression that said "go away".

After she told me Sacramento was closed I bit my lip and kindly said "I'd hate to leave here, go to the pleasanton DMV, find out there are SB100 numbers available and then question why the folks at the walnut creek DMV weren't willing to help me"

That got her motivated!
