UK Cobra Rep Owner Visiting San Jose

Hi All

Just a short note to say hello & would like to know if there are any Cobra events over the next month.

I will be in San Jose until the 14th June - unfortunately working during the week but all going well my weekends will be free.

Interested in meeting any local owners & would like very much to see some Cobs whether they are complete or part way through a build.

In brief I own a Crendon Replica.... installed is a 406 cu in Big Block V8 mated with a top-loader 4 speed manual box. Colour is traditional Guardsman Blue with traditional Wimbledon White stripes.

Stuck at Heathrow at mo as flight is delayed. I will upload some pictures once I am at my hotel later today.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks
Gary

Gary,

Welcome to San Jose and looks like you are a new member, so welcome to Club Cobra as well.

The east bay guys meet in Livermore every Saturday and last I read the meet at Beeb's Sports Bar & Grill in Livermore.

Here is a link to a recent thread.

Some of the west bay guys meet a few times a month for Saturday breakfast in Woodside at Alice's restaurant, or in Mountain View at Bajis' Cafe. There will a thread usually a few days ahead of time, so keep an eye out and I can send you private message to give you a heads up. Look forward to meeting you.

Sounds like a winner to me!!!

scootter 05-24-2013 08:53 PM

Gary ... How about a Cobra gathering on Saturday June 1st?

Do a breakfast run for those that are interested ... then if it works for Steve, stop by to see what's new at PANAVIA?

Sounds like a great idea. I'll be up for that. Thankyou :D

Gary, have you been to Alices? If not, we can do an Alice's run for breakfast, a great ride along Hwy. 35 south, and wind our way to Campbell.

Kobura 05-25-2013 05:59 PM

Actually, the food at Alice's is better than a couple of other places I've been with Cobras. Plus, the agenda sounds good. I'll have to clean up my car a little in order to be able to make it, but certainly doable by June 1.

OK ... we have a plan.

Next Saturday June 1st, Gary and I will be at the Saratoga Starbucks at around 7:45 am and will roll at 8:00 up to Alice's for breakfast, should be there about 8:30.

All are welcome, hopefully we can get a good group together to give Gary lots of different Cobras to check out. Meet you guys at Starbucks or Alice's.

Steve is looking at having 'Cars and Coffee' gathering at Panavia possibly on the following Saturday June 8th, and he will follow up with more info as it get's closer.

Okie dokie!!

Thanks for working out the agenda for Saturday. It took you guys a week to put together our normal Saturday breakfast ride and dine. What is everyone doing on Sunday? Is anyone going for a ride to Kenwood in the north bay for wine tasting and a picnic at Chateau St. Jean Winery. We can parade across the Golden Gate Bridge and test the cameras on the way back.

Danette is out of town for a few days, so I doubt I will go.
