Default Back in the Saddle Again

I purchased my pre-built Cobra in 2001. After about a year of operation, I decided to have a new engine built, paint, interior...to put my own stamp on it. That started a 10 year love-hate (mostly hate) relationship with my Cobra and I missed every event as I watched from the sidelines.

Finally in 2012, I decided that I had spent enough time and money on my Cobra as it was and had the original engine builder tear down the engine completely. We discovered a microscopic crack in the block (which I found out was actually a reconditioned block to begin with). This caused steam to be injected into one of the cylinders without all the usual symptoms of a cracked block, blown gasket and the like.

Well, I started completely over with a new Ford racing 460 block, bored out to 4.500" and reused the existing crank and rods. I bought new Kaase P-51 heads and found a new dual quad intake to complete things. A couple of quickfuel carbs and some other hardware and FINALLY....... I have a running Cobra again.

I had the paint wet sanded and re-buffed and the car looks NEW!! The best part is that I can finally drive the @^$% thing and enjoy it as I had intended many years ago.

So...with that overly-long entry...I wanted to see if people are still meeting on Saturdays at Clementines..... I would like to try to meet (or re-meet if any of you were around 10 years ago)........

So.....Anyone meeting this Saturday?? It is supposed to be nearly a Spring day.
