Please attend for a cruise around the Santa Cruz Mountains, on a path yet to be solidified, followed by good food, beer and drinks at my house...which is about one mile from the intersection of Hiway 17 and Bear Creek Road.

I'm thinking we get started around 10:30am and meet in the parking lot of "The Cat's" Restaurant on Hiway 17, just south of the town of Los Gatos, where I will have coffee waiting. We'll take off by 11am, and begin the drive with Old Santa Cruz Hwy to Summit Road, and perhaps stop briefly at the Summit Store to pick up any last minute supplies and just generally to make a splash like we always do.. The freshly paved, and nicely banked, San Jose – Soquel Road can be a lot of fun... So we'll head that way.
And it's always beautiful up here, especially this time of year..
Once I get a chance to look at the return trip, I'll post that... But I'm thinking that we will turn off of San Jose Soquel Rd before arriving in Soquel, and back road our way out to Highway 17 again for the trip back to my house.

Gary glad you can make it. It should be a good drive before hand. the host usually has the main grub handled, we usually all bring either a side or some snacks for before hand. Take you pick if you want or you can always call john and see what might be good. See you there

We also have a haus in der Fremont area too - just got back from a BACC run to South Lake Tahoe and need more.

What does the head count look like for what should be a very nice event? For those that are attending, are you bringing a co-pilot (assuming they are invited)?

Current forecast is a high of 73º and partly cloudy - perfect weather!

I talked with John Lipka yesterday and looks like there are 10 cars didn't say anything about copilots but I'm sure there will be a few.

Hi Freddie, Just spoke to John cuz the Cobra is at Panavia getting a new throw-out bearing etc...but i'm com'n anyway. I'll be classing the place up with my pickup truck :>

Sorry for the late reply, but my son and I would like to join in. We will show up at the restaurant at 10:30 and if the group is filled up that's fine, we'll tag along for the driving part.

John - thanks for organizing and hosting such a wonderful event. The drive up Old Santa Cruz Highway was smooth and a blast. You were also very kind to open up your home to all of us, much less prepare such a delicious and bountiful spread. It was an outstanding way to spend a Sunday - with friends, cars and good eats!
