Sperformance new US importer for AC Alloy cars
It looks like Hi-Tech (Superformance) is the new US importer for alloy-bodies cars. The cars will be produced at AC's existing plant in Frimley, England

I think we should ask Superformance for some AC/Superformance dash plaques. They could market the cars much like Shelby with Alum or plastic. They would also have a 1500 plus sales force. Their cost a piece of metal with some engraving on it. Cheap.

No real surprises there, although there's been no announcement in the UK yet. |

Stan,It appears that AC's badging was hoog-poog so to say. Nose badging was either Cobra or AC were the rear was AC and no side Badging in some cases (COX/COB). My car to me will alway be a Cobra replica just as the new 4000 series is a replica with the CSX attached.(SAAC 27 group photo only for real Cobras, No CSX4000's allowed)
 SeeYa.........

1960s MkII and III CSX cars had cobra badges, front and rear, MKII COB/COX Cars (sold in Britain and Europe) had a cobra badge on the front, and an AC badge on the rear. MKIII COB/COX cars (the AC 289 Sports) had AC badges front and rear.
I'd ask AC before using their trademark. The've had periodic disputes with replica manufacturers here in the UK about using the AC trademark.

Hey Fitz,The information that you read on SCOF is designated for Superformance owners and wasn't intended for public knowledge.
I'm sure that you realize that internet lurkers frequently watch specialty automotive sites in order to gain useful information....sometimes for litigation. You have compromised the integrity of Randall Thomas and the confidentiality of everyone that has shared confidential information with several members on SCOF. Please exercise some discretion.

Bo,The problem that these posts create is that some of the information was shared "in confidence" from influential people that are behind the scenes and could easily be effected by the peripheral damage. It also dries up the resources because of potential exposure. I'm sure that no malice was intended but the irreparable damage needs to be immediately addressed.

 Dan,
Your absolutly right, but, a couple of issues of common sense
 need to raised.

 1. If someone tells you something in confidence, it's only right that you don't repeat it.

 2. If you hear some backyard, over the fence gossip, "before" repeating it, I personally would want to chech its validity with a principal involved. If told to keep it under your hat, then refer to Item # 1.

A man without his word or honor, has nothing.
