Kirkham Cars
Does anyone have a Kirkham car that I could look at near Danville, CA. I would prefer to see a completed car. Any help would be great.
Thanks, Allan |
Hey Allen,
Try this link: http://www.hallfabracing.com/ They had a Kirkham at the Goodguys some time ago. Curtis |
Guys, I asked Hall Fabricating and Racing if they ever do tours of their facility. I will keep updates coming
Gary |
I went through their facility about a month ago. What a great place for a Tour. The first thing I saw when I went inside was a gentleman (I forgot his name) restoring the very 'first Daytona Coupe'. (I did not know that it was assembled in Italy) Just a little side bar. It was completely disassembled. They were doing a complete ground up retoration. Oh WOW! They also told me that they could do a tour. But you must contact them in advance. You should talk to Stu Hall. He's the main man.
It one of you guys can arrange a tour, count me in. I'd love too go back. Lew |
Good idea.

You are welcome to come and see KMP065 now rebadged as CSX4148 in Vacaville. Just give me a day's notice, unless it is the weekend. Then a few hours notive will do.
TURK |
Turk,
Why don't you just bring it down to Dublin for breakfast on saturday, and we can all check it out. joe kennedy |
Allan
In about a month, I'll bring it by. A REAL one--not a Shelby replica of a Kirkham. |
Jamo
Is your tour going to hit Bakersfield? I guess it's a good thing aluminum doesn't rust with all the drool in the air. :D Mike:D  |

Joe,
DO you want me to bring it in a trailer, or just push it all the way down there? No motor. Not yet.... TURK |
Gee Turk,
You made it 590 miles from Las Vegas to Vacaville. Dublin was on the way. But no, you didn't think about us. I guess you didn't run out of gas, or blow a trailer tire, and need some help. Hell, we could've had our wives on hand to climb into the trailer for you. :D It's only 54 miles from Vacaville to Dublin. I know you have access to a suburban, and ropes are cheap, and I'd pay for your breakfast. It's not too late to redeem yourself. It's going to be pretty embarrasing if two or three tin cars don't show up before the poisson lady does.   joe kennedy |
Turk,
Thanks for taking the time to show us your great car. Allan |
Yeah Turk,
thanks joe kennedy |
he towed his car to breakfast?
|
No,
Actually Allan and his friend came by and and looked it over. Kris, talk to Mr. Marsh. Allan and two of his friends are ready for three cars!. Yes you heard me right. They want to buy three cars. All Bob has to to is be himself and take good care of them, he's got the deal. This area is becoming the most Cobra intensive area in the entire country... TURK |
Good job Turkster--maybe Bob will now realize what a good deal he made selling one to you. Commission for you efforts?:3DSMILE:

Nothing like a hands on demonstration.
Allan is a pretty big boy, and he wasn't very comfortable fitting into my car, the way it is set up. Jamo, what are Kirkhams doing to yours to make it more comfortable? Allan might be intersted.. TURK |
"Hands on demonstration"
You played with yourself until they cried uncle and promised to buy them? Hell'uv a sales technique. I'm not sure Bob and the staff will want to adopt your approach though. The Kirkhams are doing several things--including notching the passenger side of the rear wheel well--which I believe Kris says Shelby does anyway. If he's tall--getting rid of the seat adjusters and taking some of the padding out of the bottom cushion are the big helpers. There's enough play in the pedal assembly and the steering column to gain an inch or so on each. |
Turk,
I am just big boned......... After discussing with my partners in crime we have not ruled out the Kirkham. However, we should have a direction soon. One thing I think Turk sold us on is the car lift, we were very impressed with his garage set up. I think he could make more money selling a "Turn Key" garage package from the flooring to the tool boxes. Allan |
