CSX4264 is Home !!!!!

Hello All,

Coming out of the closet........I bought Shannon Fry's CSX4264 and it is here in my garage in Alamo. I have uploaded several pictures of the new car into my album. I had the car at Athens yesterday for breakfast. Picked it up Friday and have put 200+ miles of smiles on it since then.:D :D :D

It is equipped with a Bill Parham built C7AE 427 side oiler, 4 speed top loader and I am very happy to be the proud new owner. Shannon has built two other cobras that are here in Northern California and is a superb craftsman. The paint , fit , finish and driveability of this car are perfect.

BTW my Unique 427 Cobra is now for sale..........Looking for a new home for the Unique in anticipation of my FFR Daytona Coupe coming to California from Ohio in September.

So many Cobras so few garages %/ %/ %/ %/

Best Regards,

Tony Ripepi

Congrat's Tony. Great motor in that great car!! If you need garage space, I have room. ;) Enjoy it. Ae you using the coupe at all?

Are you lining up a GT-40 next? :D

Tony Ripepi 08-10-2003 06:29 PM

Hello Toy Collector,

The Coupe is in Ohio in DV's shop getting the finishing touches done, final Paint and Assembly. We missed the DVSF III delivery date by some ten odd weeks but, the Coupe is being built with uncompromising quality and the commitment for it to be a very special ride. I have not driven a coupe yet only been in them, both the original version and several of the FFR renditions.

I am selling the Unique roadster and the plan is to have the Shelby and the FFR Daytona Coupe in the garage along with my daily drivers. I have a four car 1200 sq. ft. garage but, need to make some room........ so the Unique is going down the road.

Tony R. :) :) :)

Tony.
Congrats. AGAIN!

Now that you changed cars, you don't have to slum it at a diner any more with the common people.:3DSMILE:

You can meet up with me, Allan and Mark for some wine and cheese at Denny's.
We have class.!!

Does it drive different than your Unique?

What a perfect deal...

Tony, you put your hands on an outstanding Cobra. Congrats buddy!:3DSMILE:

And Shannon just found a perfect home for his baby!;)

Tony Ripepi 08-10-2003 07:04 PM

Jamo, Turk,

Thanks guys....Wine and Cheese .....Is that what Denny's calls their version of the Big Mac ????

As for the driving, the Unique has had the front suspension modified to incorporate the NASCAR style heim jointed upper A arms and is very precise, with the engine stroked to 454 and all of the internals coming from Gessford it is a great cruiser. The 5- spped in the Unique is the biggest difference.

The Shelby is very balanced and on the road handles just a little better than the Unique, I took it up Crow Canyon Road and the twisties are pretty much a push between the two of them. The Bill Parham side oiler feels stronger than the stroker 427 center oiler in the Unique. There is more Cam in the Southern Automotive engine but, it is really smooth.

Two great cobras and I am a very lucky guy to have them both in the garage.

Tony R.

Tony Ripepi 08-11-2003 01:06 AM

HI Guys,

Tom....It will not stay with you all the way around the track with you in the Z06 but, watch out in the straight aways.

Chris....I was close to putting a down payment with Jim Wallace , when I saw Shannons car it was an easy decision to make. BTW I hear that you may be leaving Shelby ?

Curtis....Tuxedo Tuxedo Tuxedo Tuxedo Tuxedo Tuxedo Tuxedo:D :D

Shannon.....250 miles since Friday.

James...I saw the car Wednesday and was driving away to think about it, never got out of Shannons drive way....turned around and we shook hands on the deal, picked it up on Friday.

Bill...This would be my fourth Roadster Shell Valley- SuperFormance- Unique and now CSX4264. The FFR Daytona Coupe will be the 5th cobra in my garage. I will keep the CSX and the Daytona Coupe for some time to come.

Thank you all for the good thoughts and wishes...

Tony R.

Tony
Congrads, you couldn't have found a better cobra. I watched Shanon build it, very precise.

Shanon
Hurry up and do another car. I'll really miss the BB coming down the street.

sambrozy 08-11-2003 10:29 AM

fickle...fickle....fickle...
You have a beautiful car and it is a real csx. (small letters)

Take care,

Stan

Allan A 08-11-2003 10:51 AM

The truth of the matter is Tony just wanted to beat us out in our area. We have been working hard to get CSX 4309 and 4310 on the streets and make one of the Danville shows. He is a mean guy :D :D

Randy Rosenberg 08-11-2003 11:24 AM

Tony,

You are a man of very fine taste in Cobras - each one is more beautiful than the next. In a few weeks you will have a garage filled with automobiles that many dream about, but few acheive.

Congrats on your new addition!

May you always drive it in good health!

Sincerely,
Randy R...

Hey Tony,
Please tell me where to send the bill for the 2 hours of labor I spent pricing out the all aluminum CSX motor I WAS going to build for you:CRY:
Seriously, sounds like you found a really nice car!
