Good Attorney??

I guess the shop that did my Cobra did me. They didn't put the castle nuts on the tie rods. Scratched the car all over. And more. Its not even driveable and I paid a lot of money!

Anyone know of a good attorney that can help me get at least some of the repairs covered. I'm in Santa Clara and teh shop is in Manteca.

I can only imagine how upset you are however, before soliciting an attorney you should go through "the process". By this I mean BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) & BB (Better Business). BAR will contact the shop and attempt to mediate (you must have taken your car to this shop for a reason in the first place, possibly recomendation). Before letting things get to far try working things out with the shop. This will lay the ground work for you should further action be required. Litigation is all about documentation, the more you have documented the stronger your case. So document all of your complaints. Court should be your last resort because in the end the only one's happy are usually the lawyers. Just the threat of leagl action can in some cases be enough to encourage the other party to settle (with minimal legal fee's of drafting a letter the shop).

good luck,
Mike

Not long ago I needed to recover the cost of undisclosed issues regarding a very high-end used car I bought. I used the Consumer Law attorney John Jacobs of the Law Office of Sharon Kinsey @ 1-831-465-7565. They specialize in vehicle cases and really know their stuff.

He was great, easy to work with, and a closet car-guy himself. He's still waiting to see the Cobra I eventually buy.

End result was the crooked seller had to dish us 30K. If he can't help maybe he can advise.

First posting by this guy and it looks like an advertisement.

Maybe the moderators should handle this.

I was wondering what shop here in Manteca it was. Old thread so might not find out who to stay away from.
The OP has not been on since 2007.

I thought one of the moderators (not necessarily you) would have seen the thread when my comment bumped it to the top of the list. I didn't know the correct procedure was to send you an e-mail.

Obviously I'm still learning the rules here.

Of course, you could embed the report in a really cool link like this: Really Cool Link and then entice people to click it.:p
