2004 SB100 processing postponed!
Found out that there will be a delay in processing the SB100 registrations next year until March 1. .. So don't bother waiting in line Jan 2. nor would calling DMV office help because word hasn't been relayed to everyone yet.
.. Really. I'm serious. :D Ok.. maybe not. So I have a question: can we get a temporary license (the usual 30 days) this year to actually register for SB100 next year? I ask because usually, the first step DMV does, before you go through in *actually* getting your SPCN # and BAR & CHP inspections, is giving you a 30 day temp registration to legally drive around--which I know from someone can be extened at their descretion if you can't make it (or if bar/chp appointments are beyond 30 days, etc). thanks |
Yes... A temp may be issues and re-issued for as long as 90 days once you pay the fees and begin the registration process.
FYI 100% of the 500 SPCNS sequence numbers were used by June 12th 2003 for this year. Better be at the DMV at 7 am on Jan 2. There are tons of anxious people waiting to take your spot. |
Does this mean we still need be at the DMV on the Jan. 2nd or they are not going to issue any numbers or process any application until March.. How can we confirm this???

There is no postponement. You need to be there as close to the January 2 date as you can, if you want one of the 500 numbers.
