 Yes... A temp may be issues and re-issued for as long as 90 days once you pay the fees and begin the registration process.
 FYI 100% of the 500 SPCNS sequence numbers were used by June 12th 2003 for this year.  Better be at the DMV at 7 am on Jan 2.  There are tons of anxious people waiting to take your spot.
