Default BACC visitor, Unique 289's?

I'm planning on checking out the Cobra gathering at Athen's Restaurant in Dublin this Saturday. I guess you guys start meeting at around 7:30? I've been wanting to check this out since Randy Klein told me about it. I'm thinking of purchasing a Unique 289FIA delus pallet kit, so, if you see an unfamiliar face (I'll be hard to miss. I'll have a 17-month toddler boy on my backpack) be sure to direct me toward the 289FIA's (Unique, ERA, or Shelby, really haven't fully made up my mind yet).

Regards,
Douglas King

Default Good news and bad news

The good news is there should be plenty of cars to look at. The bad news is it actually gets rolling around 07:00.
Hope to see you there.

Tinker51, everybody hangs out for a couple of hours, though, right?

I assume the food is good at the restaurant. Does it get packed?

There is at least one Unique FIA and one ERA USRRC usually there every Saturday. Some come at 6:30.
Oh..........the food is reasonably priced but some of us have had our fill at the halfway point.

So, you're saying I should stop at Starbuck's or Peet's on my way over. Yeah, yeah, I get the hint.

So, I dropped by the club on Saturday and an ERA 289FIA and a Unique 289FIA were conveniently parked right next to each other. I snapped off a few pictures so I can scrutinize the differences in detail. Both cars looked really nice.

Gary, thanks for showing me your car and starting it up for me to hear. I was a little distracted with the little one, but I'll be asking you a few more questions, I'm sure. Didn't meet the owner of the ERA, but I would have like to talked to him too.

"GT40" John. Nice to talk with you as well. Again, it was hard to manage the little one and hold a conversation.

I'll be back. I'll have to drag the wife along next time so I can actually hold a conversation.

Cheers,
Doug

Sorry, I was distracted by John's GT40 too. Mr PotatoHead and I would love another 289 car to join the group.
Come again soon.
Gary
ps: I'll miss the next couple of Saturdays due to trips.

I've convinced my wife that "our breakfast" is "men's only" I've told her that she's welcome to join us, but she may be the only woman there (who is not serving food)

YMMV,
Randy R...
