				 Lucky me
 LUCKY ME!!!!!!!!!!
On Saturday I tried to beat the rain home and failed. I hit a puddle on Highway 4 and spun out down an embankment after hitting a barrier. Minor damage (I hope) to passenger side and side pipe and ego.
Join me in always wearing your full harness and be careful out there.

 Gary

Gary, At first site I thought you were competing with Joe Kennedy. But Joe never tried stuffing grass in his tires to inflate them. You would think you would have a balancing problem with that much debri stuffed into the rim of the tire and wheel. Mud and debri all over your car! Now that we have seen it, you can clean it.
You were a very lucky fellow last Saturday. Glad you're still around!
Send a picture or two to Monster and he maybe able to post for you.
See you on Wednesday at the secret BACC lunch time meeting.
 Fitz......

Ouch! Started the cleaning process and got halfway through one side today. It will stay inside until I get it clean behind the ears. I found a few spider cracks in the center of the rear trunk area between the top of the deck lid and passenger compartment. Also some evidence of cracking/crunching at the edges of the firewall between the footboxes.HHMMMMm, maybe there is more to be found....
And its good to be with friends who care.
 Gary

PS: Are you sure you want mine as clean as yours?

 Gary:
Glad only your pride got hurt and a little bit of your car, sounds like it could have been much worse. That Hiway is trecherous when wet and many spots have no runoff area what so ever. More than once they have found cars WITH occupants off the road and under water.

Wide tires and low weight are poison in the rain. It hadn't really rained for months until October, and all the oil from the junkers leaking oil on the pavement all that time made for some treacherous driving.

Take mom's car with the skinny tires.

Well after 1 month I finally got pictures of Gary's OFF-Road adventure in his Cobra.................Gary, Cobra's don't have 4-Wheel Drive! Glad we can laugh about this now but I'm sure it wasn't a fun ride.

Pretty scary. I'm glad you stayed upright, Gary, and that you weren't hurt. I am another strong supporter of safety belts. In fact, I see by the date on my harness that I am ready for a new set. Time to visit Bell. I don't worry much about rain. With no top I just head for the garage when there's 2% chance for rain and the beast goes into hiding until the sun comes out. Even with my Brand X daily driver I slow down a bit when it rains. Hydroplaning happens! Rich |

Thanks Mike for posting the pictures. And thanks all for the good thoughts. It was a wild ride!
Bottom line...Kept the rubber side down.
