i'm free all charges dropped
as most of the bay area members know i was arrested for improperly regestering my cobra back in 2001 when i used titles unlimited. well today they drop all of the charges and i pled no contest to posession of a false vin and paid a $1000 fine this charge is only an infraction (simular to jay walking ticket)
the prosicutor compared me to boyd cottington with his 350 counts. he also felt that sb100 was an illegal law that was passed by a politican who couldn't register his cobra in ca........mike |
holy crap! california is freakin' crazy i apologize to those that live there but that is ridiculous.
arresting a guy for some stupid clerical misunderstanding ????c'mon.. what about all the REAL criminals out there walking the streets??/ how about the illegals that freely hang out at home depot corner looking for day work??how about arresting them?/ everyone knows they're illegal go pick them up!!! Arizona has the same problem but not the political shamefulness california does...not yet.. ok i'm done..sorry |
Does Mr. Morgester know about your situation?
|
To add insult to injury he compares you to Boyd Coddington. Was he referring to your criminal activity, or your wardrobe? :p

People seem to be forgetting that ACMikee was arrested because the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia didn't like the way ANOTHER STATE(Georgia) does it's DMV transactions.WHO THE F*&K is Kalifornia to tell another state how to go about its business?
The arrogance of left coast bastion of communist C-suckers just defies the imagination. The state creates the problem by not having a way to legally register the cars, then when people find a LEGAL way around it-then they arrest them for it.SON-OF-A BIATCH!!!This wreaks of Germany circa 1935.:( And for his comments, the prosecutor needs to have a .22 planted behind his ear. Joey-and what problems does Arizona have?Keeping in mind that they just repealed emissions checks on all vehicles 15 years old or older that have a classic car insurance policy on them and they also repealed ALL motorcycles smog checks in the state except Maricopa county. |
Cobrabill wins the "post of the day" award...
|
Oh,goody......another kewpie doll.Sigh.............the excitement is more than i can stand;)
|
Crips-- Don't be shy Cobrabill,
Tell us how you REALLY feel:LOL:   |

Congrats! :) BTW, the prosecutor is actually correct as to how SB100 got passed... |
A good job!
Like Jamo said "Damn plea bargaining"....................
I would have gotten him a good job, making license plates!:D jdog;) |
I live in California. It's beautiful here, but very costly! The state reams your A$$ for everything though:CRY:
|
CDNUS-ONE year after registering my Cobra in AZ.,the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia DMV Gestapo sent a letter to my ARIZONA ADDRESS telling me my Kalifornia Cobra registration was suspended.:JEKYLHYDE
Back to the Boyd Coddingtopn comment. My retort would have been:If i was like Boyd Coddington,I wouldn't be here today-as i would have bought my way out of it,and that's all you're really after is my money. However that probably would have earned me a contempt of court charge.%/ |
Strike two!

Three strikes & your out! jdog P.S. Ask for "Folsom PIA" at the reception center, when they ask if you have a 'program' in mind. Fly me a kite (message), when you get here!;) |
Wow...$1,000 and its like jaywalking. Is there like a $5,000 fine if your dog ****s on the sidewalk too. I never go to California anymore. There are so few people that speak English. Florida is a much more "user firendly" state.

How was the food in the big house? Did you room with Coddington? He looks like he would have a lot of gas.
Congrats on only spending $1K and staying out of alcatraz. :) |
Didn't you all know, the Bank of California is a state!
Mike, glad you got out of that one. The judge is a turd! I really cringe when they keep saying CA has the 5th largest economy in the world! It's like an albatross - and everyone figures with that much money in the state, everyone will get their share any way they can; just look at Enron and every gasoline manufacturer!!!! In the meantime, we keep shutting down schools, roads don't get fixed, housing is unaffordable and jobs keep getting outsourced to places where English is an after thought. :( I want Texas or AZ to be the 4th largest economy in the world so they'd leave us alone! BTW: us baby boomers will become the largest retired demographics the world has seen in the coming years. Guess where us "Kalifornians" are going to end up: FL and AZ where it's warmer. Be very afraid!!!! |
Any concerns that the SB100 might get attacked in California? The renewed zeal for air quality and the environment makes me worry that they will target low mileage cars like the Cobras to make an example of...You know like a zero tolerance type of thing? I haven't even started sanding on my new Kirkham.

"The state creates the problem by not having a way to legally register the cars, then when people find a LEGAL way around it-then they arrest them for it.SON-OF-A BIATCH!!!This wreaks of Germany circa 1935"
What am I missing here... since when is it "legal" to use a company that provides a fraudulent title, bill of sale, misrepresents the year of manufacture, etc.? The guy circumvented the process to get his car registered, got caught and had to pay a fine... - Dan |
