Mike - have any plans been made to gather in the Bay Area (presumably the Rock House) prior to driving to Murphys? Since you indicated that it is a two hour drive to Murphys, is the plan to leave by 8 for a 10 AM arrival, or later especially for those who plan to spend Saturday night and thus can get their exploring in on Sunday rather than Saturday morning - say depart RH @ 9?
Weather looks to be outstanding!
Anyone traveling from the Peninsula or SF want to convoy to the meeting place? Breakfast at the Rock House?

We're supposed to by in Murphys by 10:00. According to the baccevents.com site, we'll then have about 1-1/2 hours to check out the town and/or eat. I think Murphys is about a 2 hour drive from Livermore so I plan on leaving the Rock House at 8:00. Anyone that wants to meet there and drive up with Kimberly and I is welcome.

Chris-Thanks for the meet-up post
We have been holding off sending out the details since we still have some stragglers just getting their registrations in now.
7:30 is what we were thinking. Rock House doesn't open till 7:30 so we were just going to grab coffee and Danish for the road (Starbucks near Rockhouse) and eat in Murphys. The drive takes about 1hr.45min from Livermore, so if folks can hold off till we get to Murphys there are a few places there to get breakfast (I'll have more on those in the email)
Thanks,
Mike

Tom,
Leaving at 8:30-8:45 will get you up to Murphys late, hopefully, we will only be checking-in folks between 10-10:30 (we would also like to check out the town too, before the tour begins ) I've sent out a notification to everyone that's registered that includes some suggestions on some eating options.
Thanks,
Mike

See you guys at 7:30. Is there gas close by there, or is there a planned pit stop along the way. I only use maybe a 1/4 tank from SJ, but I hate thinking of how much gas I have while I am supposed to be driving and relaxing.

Rock House is on the corner of Portola and Livermore Ave. If you go North on Livermore Avenue about 1/4 mile there's a Chevron station just before 580. There's also a Union 76 on the corner of First St and N St. in downtown Livermore if you know where that is. That one is pretty convenient if you're coming from San Jose on the old Hwy 84 through town (as opposed to the new hwy 84 that goes along Isabel Avenue).

Gas in Livermore
There is a Chevron on N.Livermore on the way to 580 <Chris beat me again with the post.......you type like you drive.....fast >
If you are a bit early, 2 exits east of N.Livermore on 580 at Vasco Rd North is every gas station you can imagine just off of the freeway (and less expensive) ARCO, Chevron, 76, Shell,Thrifty , Citgo etc...
When we hit Angels Camp there are a few stations to top up at and that should do for the day. There are also a couple of gas stations in Murphys.
hope this helps,
Mike

Mike and Larry - another outstanding event! Everything ran so smoothly - you guys clearly thought of it all. Great choice of wineries, with Ironstone a outstanding finale. Thank you also for arranging such delghtful weather - what a welcome change from last year. Murphys is a terrific town.
Since I can't figure out how to post my pictures here, please check out my gallery for a few.

Again a big thumbs up to both of you.
