Default Self lubricating injectors

I have been pursuing the construction of a CNG Cobra for some time now. I have found the proper tanks and after speaking with Tom Kirkham found that I can get enough capacity to make sense out of going this direction. My current hurtle is the efi system. It seems self lubricating injectors are a requirement. It also seems there needs to be a governmental approval on any system used (not CARB but Federal). Upon contacting Hilborn, I have found that most injection systems are just off-the-shelf with a different name planted on them. Does anyone know of something that may fit the bill? I have not checked with Bosch. The last part of the puzzle is going to be the proper lines and connectors.

LPG (although not CNG) is big in Australia and several companies have developed multi-point EFI gas systems

I have a car running lpg that I have started playing with. Advance curve very different, 11.5:1 compresion, twin plug nissian ca20.

CNG died a natural death in NZ but there still are a number of cars with LPG as it is readably available. some of the EU countries run CNG so it may be an idea to have a nosy in that direction.

Lo Belly and Maurice, Thank you for your information. The articles were well worth reading. Maurice, I did contact gas-injection via e-mail and the auto speed article was fascinating. Lo-Belly, when you say CNG died a natural death what was the cause of such (availability or??)? With natural gas selling for $1.09 per gallon equivalent at home and around$2 per gallon equivalent at the pump; no carbon build up; almost no emissions it is hard to see the downside. It seems like a supercharger and leaving the compression of the engine alone would provide plenty of power and not break the bank trying to operate.

Just received a response from Injection Technology in Australia. It seems they are out of business. Oh well, back to square one.

CNG was on avalible in a limit area of NZ while LPG is avaliable in most towns. lpg is $nz 1.38 per litre while 91 $nz 1.95 per litre (did get over $NZ2)

have a couple of CNG tanks that I was going to use for air compressor also a a dual fuel MSD type unit that modify the advance curve for a chev. these days FASTx/LINX is the way to go.
