blackhawk museum

:3DSMILE:hey fellas, just wondering if anyone would be interested in a drive to the blackhawk museum after one of the saturday morning breakfasts? thought it would be cool to checkout some classic cars. hang-out with fellow cobra guys, have a goodbreakfast, and best of all.......................drive our cars:D:D. so if this sounds good to anyone please let me know, and we'll try to set something up. also there is a guy in portola valley who has a huge army tank collection. that might be a cool destination too. but i am not sure how to get ahold of mr. littlefield- the owner- to set something up. does anyone know who i am talking about? and if you do know him. how do we go about getting a tour? anyway, just a thought. and hope there is enough interest to make something like this happen. thanks:cool:

Hi Jeff,

We did a Blackhawk group tour about 2-1/2 years ago. They allowed us to park up by the front doors (Plaza Parking), and we had exclusive access to museum, and we had some guest speakers talk to us. Kudos to the guys who arranged it! It was really great - I have very fond memories of this day.

I like your idea of seeing a tank collection - this is something you don't see everyday. If you can set up a tour, then I'm sure many will want to check it out.

Thanks,
Randy...

FWIW - John Place several years ago had made a suggestion that we might want to incorporate the Tank Farm in one of our Mid-Summer/End of Summer Runs. I am glad to see there is so much interest and would happy to see if this facility could be included in one of these Runs if you guys can't make other arrangements. Let me know if I can help.

A museum dedicated to fossil fuel burning, emissions emitting, vehicles that represent what’s wrong with America located so close to Berkeley California?????? How’d that happen??? How did the “Berkeleyites” allow this museum???

I wish I could go, looks cool! :D

Danville is very different than berk.

for instance ; Black Land Rovers in Danville are normal.

289fia_cobra 12-21-2008 02:42 PM

Berkely is pretty much SF East.
Danville is Los Gatos East.

Having lived in SF for the first half of my life, I'll take Danville and besides, I've NEVER BEEN to the museum but I hear it's very awesome.
