Breakfast or Lunch in South Bay on Saturday 1/3?

If the weather cooperates on Saturday, I was thinking about taking a run over Hwy 17 to the Valley.

Steve said that he'd be at the Mustang Ranch most of the day, so I thought I'd drop by there to check out the shop and then maybe run up to see Dynamic Auto West's new store in Redwood City.

I'm open. Any interest in breakfast or lunch?

It all sounds good to me. When and where do you want to meet?

I'm hot on the trail of a pesky vacuum leak today :(, but am confident I'll be running in a few hours.

I'm leaning towards an early lunch...maybe give it a little time for the sun to come out. :)

We could meet at the Ranch around 11:00 am, check it out then go to lunch.

I'll check back in a bit. Good luck with the vacuum leak.

Sounds good to me. Danette and I would like to get out. I chickened out on Saturday!

We could have lunch at By The Bucket, Harry's Hofbrau, Sonoma Chicken, Red Robin, Sams BBQ.

If the roads are dry, I would like to get my car out.

Well, since it is the first Saturday of the month, I'm going to do Baji's for breakfast. Got to support our local businesses. But wherever you go, the weather is supposed to be sunny with some clouds. But chilly, of course. Perfect Cobra weather! Happy New Year everyone! :) Rich

For those who want to check out Mustang Ranch, why don't we plan on meeting there at 11:00 am.

By the Bucket for Lunch sounds good to me. If you don't want to go to Mustang Ranch, we can meet at By the Bucket Noon and then go from there.

vanoochka 01-02-2009 03:55 PM

I've never been to By the Bucket, but it sounds like my kind of place. :D

I should have this all back together in a couple of hours and will have then hopefully ended my vacuum leak woes, at least for now.

Chuck,

What the heck you doing?? Do you have a lap top sitting on your car while your working on it??

Scott

vanoochka 01-02-2009 04:31 PM

Actually, the laptop is on the weight bench. :p Remember, I'm new at this stuff, and so like to keep the research tool close at hand.

If you have vertical bolts that hold your manifold on, it helps to make 4 studs to put in the vertical holes. That helps hold the gaskets in place and guide the manifold as you drop it on. Don't go crazy with sealant!!!!!!

While "By The Bucket" sounds both delicious and nutritious , I already have a luncheon engagement at 1:00 PM. Have fun!

Hey Scott - Haven't been to By the Bucket in years. Is the parking better than Kirk's in Cupertino? :)

Chuck - That's more than a vacuum leak man. Open heart surgery.

vanoochka 01-02-2009 08:05 PM

It kind of escalated quickly. :o I feel like those two guys in that movie, Mouse Hunt.

Mani, carb and covers are all back on. Now, I just need to rehook all the wires and tubes, hook up the fill tank assembly and fill up the cooling system. Then hope for the best in the AM. %/

I hope I remembered to take those shop rags out before I sealed it up!

Doug,

Parking is a lot better!!:)
