Question LT-1 pulley set up.

Hey you bowtie fanatics, I'm installing a LT1 motor in my cobra and i'm looking to use a seprintine belt set up. I don't have any of the brackets or pulleys.I need an alternator, waterpump and harmonic balancer pulleys and brackets. Also what is better to run a 6" or 8" harmonic balancer? Thank for any help. Richard

Thumbs up

Way to go Rich!
I think that motor will be awsome in the cobra.
I don't know that much about the LT1 but I
think the March company sells a set of pulleys
for that motor. They also sell March pulleys in
the Summit catalog.
I hope this helps you out.
Some pictures of your build would be nice Rich.

I'm also using an LT1. I have the Camaro/Firebird
bracket using PS and alternator. I have the AC
delete pulley from the LE-1 autocross option.

If you are starting from scratch, the Corvette
setup might be cleaner since the PS pump is on
the rack side of the motor, but you have to
find a way to eliminate the AC compressor.

Marsh and Arizona Street and Marine both
sell pulley setups but I think they might be
too high for a Cobra. There is some hotrod
outfit that I forgot to bookmark that has a
low mount setup that looked pretty good.

Also, there is a website called www.lt1fiero.com
that has some pictures of bracket he must
have made himself.

If you have figured this out by now, let us know
what you did. I'd prefer a cleaner setup myself.
