Default I would not put one in my cobra...

But I have a lotta respect for Chevy motors...have seen what they can do, and may put an EFI 350 in my Scout 2 safari rig later.

I get one, change the cam and pistons, then put an IR mechanical injection on it. Cut a big hole in the non-SS hood for my 67 chevelle, then take bets on which driveline part downline would break first. No price mentioned, probubly be cheaper to buy a used BBC from a racer and go through it completely.

Sonny Leonard sells a similar engine 9.0-1 700 hp for about 15K
5k less than a SO and 200 more hp. No wonder the Chevy guys laugh at the 427 Ford.

Yup! That's a big block Chebby awrite. Looks like it was made to target anything with a Powered by Ford sticker on it.

And, a few threads over, we learn Shell Valley is resurecting the Cheeta; Chebby's answer to the 289 Cobra just before GM banned factory sponsored racing in '63 - '64.

It's now the 21st Century version of Ford vs Chebby all over again.

Sooo, Ford fans, how much can we punch the 460 out to? Will the aftermarket block makers give us something to compete with this factory tractor pull motor???
