MERRY Augustmas!!!
No offense to those and their beloved vettes, but as I watched the crowd respond to a bunch of vettes during the electric Christmas parade in Clovis last year, I couldn't help but wonder what the response would be to a bunch of Cobras doing the same. I just thought I would plant the seed of thinking of consideration.
I have no idea of logistics or feasibility. I just got reminded of it when my UPS driver had asked if I was part of the group of carS which went to Marshall Station.

Hmmm...well, it could be done (weather permitting). I just happen to be the new VP for Events on the Clovis Chamber Board.
The Christmas parade is a Kiwanis event, but I might be able to give a bit of a nudge. Who's up for it?
An idea some of us on the Board are pushing is for a car show/cruise night. A bunch of Cobras could have a corral...who's interested?
BTW...did you mean Humphreys Station?

Yes, you are correct Jamo..... I don't know why I always confuse that... I have never eaten at Marshall... I don't even blink as have driven by...
I should remember, good food - Humphrey Station just as "Humphrey the Whale" - good food Humphrey's On the Delta... or at least it was at one time

I don't think my left leg could handle a parade... Unless a fleet of Cobras started it off with a thunderous roar down the parade route... kindof like a land-based fly-over! A parade of Cobras??? would be a short parade... (don't blink!)

I am still up for it. Really. I'll be there. Unless it happened in August, then I guess i missed it.....
Its been a crazy summer. Thanks be its almost over. But to cap it off with a parade sounds like a great idea.

Hi SL!
Yes, I know I am eagerly awaiting that coat too! Its been a tough summer, kind of lost touch with the group to take care of some personal things.
Put your Christmas lights on your car and we'll see you (and my coat!!) at the parade!!! Now if I can just figure out how to put the lights on the car...do they actually decorate the cars????

it is kind of a hodge podge of decorations... some go full out, some are boats on a trailer, some are just a single strand draped around the rear view mirror.
it really is a casual-ish fun event. If you can't find some 12V lights @ an pepboys (or the like) or Michael's and you need some 120V, let me know I have an inverter which you can borrow, I can meet you somewhere before the event.

Well my Cobra is down for the winter. Why spoil a tradition. So I won't be there at least the car will not be there.
