Default Shot in the Dark... Anyone have an extra Hood?

I'd like to do some cosmetic mods to the scoop (as in eliminate it), and I thought I'd see if anyone for some reason may have one / know of where to get one. I'm assuming these are CR only pieces.

Thanks

MC

Default hood

Hi
I actually have one in finished form ready for paint.
I was planning on painting it and hang it in the garage but I will be willing to let it go for the right price!

Default Looking for Hood

I am looking for a hood with scoop. I have one with the fake louvers for sale or trade once I have found a replacement with a scoop.

Question

Motorcity,

Yep, proprietary to CR's.

Is or has something gone wrong with the hood I made for you? Besides your bodyman taking it apart to see how I made it , has something gone wrong with it? If so...I will fix for free, OR I can cut the scoop out and replace sans the scoop?

Army, I do believe you have an Austin-Healey, MX hood? CR's never made a Cobra hood with louvers.(?)

DV

DV,

Pretty sure you have me mixed up with someone else. Hood I have came with my kit.

I'm toying with making sort of an AC289 out of my kit... undercar exhaust, no roll bar, wire wheels, no hood scoop... maybe even a luggage rack. I've even thought of modifying my hard top to make it closer to what was offered. As backup, though, I want to keep my original parts (hood, side exhaust, roll bar), thus the call for a second hood that I can play with.

Regards,

MC

DV-

Are you still in the hood making business or have one available? When I bought my CR it came with a very tall and ugly hood scoop that the guy before threw on. Before I go and get the hood re-constructed the fiberglass to the original look, I maybe interested in purchasing one if any are around.......

Thanks,

KB

You might try Abram99768 per his reply. I ended up buying the skin from 1985 CCX.

Cobra Make, Engine: Classic 427, I purchased it May 2005, the kit was bought in 1991. I'm not sure when it was completed! Installed GMPP Connect & Cruise 376/525 with T-56 S/M 3.55 gears about 2 years ago! 1/4 miles is with old setup!
