Default Ingnition Switch

Hi guys, my CR uses the GM Steering column.... I have read in the threads that these were from Chevey Chevettes?
At issue is the starter ingnition switch that is midway down the column, this is where the end of the rod actuated from the key cylinder goes into to send signal to the starter soliniod.
Is the switch from a Chevette as well? Can't find any that look like it?
It has a number 114 then just below that has the number2n6097.

I tried googling that parts number but come up blank?

I need to replace it but need to at least know what car they were for?
Any ideas? It has two plugs that go into it with a total of 9 male copper. Tabs(leads)
Thx
Ken
never mind, I found one 1987 Chevette and many other GM cars.

Call "flaming River" they have a perfect column. Simply "plug & play. Yes originally tilt column out of a Chevette.

Thank you. I found replacement switch for $11.00 and while at it might as well replace key cylinder and lock mech. All for less than$100.00

Flaming River is around $550.00. Is there an advantage to going with the flaming River, besides new and pretty.
Thanks
Ken

Default Easy alternative with alarm

This is what I did. Grind off and bodywork Chevette key mechanism hole in column. Use a CompuStar CS-700-AS remote start and alarm system. Only $75 and you have a motion detect alarm also. A Cobra should not have a column key that can be defeated by a dentpuller and screwdriver. I just repurchased my kit for the second time. Dad nicknamed it"Boomarang". Hey man, I'm on a budget. Wyatt
