Is Bob Wrightson Classic Roadsters II website a scam?

The Classic Roadsters II Bob Wrightson website has a copywrite date of 2014 and looks like kits are being produced in Saskatoon. When you google earth streetview the address its a small rent house. Hes looking for a $200,000 investor. Does anybody know about this and why is the site not taken down?

Post a link please. Interpreting just what you wrote, this may be a legitimate web site.

DV was kind enough to inform me that Bob was the supplier of bodies for Don Scott. Looks like he DOES have the right to run the website. According to another website (2014 thread) they do answer the phone saying they are out of business and are looking for investors to start back up. NOT A SCAM. I hope for them all the best. I was just asking not implying anything. Once again Club Cobra has the answers. Thanx, Wyatt.

I spoke to the CR owners last year - they claimed pretty much everything related to the business was 'taken by the bank' and they were focusing on staying afloat by running their trucking business.

You'll note their address on the 'Contact Us' page is listed as Preston Avenue in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (area code 306) but the phone number is a 701 area code - which is Fargo, ND. Hmmm...

Edit: Took a bit of digging (was from May 2014), but here's a link to my comments at that time: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/clas...ml#post1300838

Taken where by what bank and where is it now?

Brian thanks for the info. The phone could be mobile. I was at Classic Roadsters in 1991 and spent a couple hours looking around the shop. I thought then " Man, this sure is a simple operation". I've been wondering after Don Scott shut down, where are the jigs and molds? Lets see, 10,000 shares at $20 each, move production to Mexico, Double Venom drivelines, carbonfiber body option, Kirkham style billet frame option...... Send your money to Wyatt at PO Box.....

You guys are making this old heart pump..... 75K will buy the infield, then directions open with Canada to keep producing the bodies, which by the way were by far the best bodies that any Cr's entity sold!! Another 75k for start up, proper facilities, etc.. and CR III IS BACK..........Good luck!

Back to Fargo

Just joking about going to Mexico. I'm in Carpenters Local 329. Long time union man. We constructed hospitals, schools and churches. We also did all of Chesapeak Energys buildings, world class cool stuff. Fargo would be the place to go. North Dakota is full of talent looking for work. Wyatt

The problem: Builder (?) In Canada has all the body jigs. Trying to get them back could be lifetime of litigation. "The reason on the second thing to do list is negotiate/compromise a solution with the Canadin entity.

Classic Roadsters III, third times a charm

Good point DV. Go with the flow. Bob made the best bodies, he's the supplier. Build complete rollers. Just for grins call em "Completion/Competition Series". Selling point is unlike Shelbys and Kirkhams, Classics look like Cobras on steroids and you can drive em like you stole em. Wyatt
