Default classic 302 dual quads

Here are some pics. Built in 2004 with 8700 miles. No build docs but disc brakes are Wilwood. I am looking for an entry level replica with moderate power. Any observations or glaring red flags from the pics will be appreciated. They are asking $27,500 and I know i need to change the carb set up as the mechanical secondaries have been disconnected. Thanks

Looks like a Classic Roadsters cobra? Sorry, realized it was under the Classic Roadsters Forum.... Have you test driven? You get a look underneath?

Here is some more info . carbs are edelbrock 1404 , 500 cfm, and manifold is edelbrock F- 28. What impact does this have on the setup?

Info:
Manifold: Intake Manifolds - Ford - 289/302/351W- Dual-Quad / Multi-Carbs - Edelbrock, LLC.
Recommended carbs: 1 each 1803 & 1804: Performance Carburetors and Accessories - Thunder Series Carburetors - Edelbrock, LLC.
Carbs you have: Performance Carburetors and Accessories - Performer Series Carburetors - Edelbrock, LLC.

That manifold will only take AFB-type carbs, so no Holley or Quick Fuel carbs. You may note Edelbrock recommends two separate carbs - one with manual choke and one with electric choke. You currently have two manual choke carbs. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, as long as they're properly set up.

If there's nothing wrong with the carbs other than disconnected secondaries, have you thought about just getting the secondaries properly re-connected and trying that before you start all over? Dual quads are cool, and it would be nice to keep them.

Yes I have considered that but the main concern would be keeping them operating properly If I am understanding the feedback I have been receiving.

Cobra Make, Engine: Classic 427, I purchased it May 2005, the kit was bought in 1991. I'm not sure when it was completed! Installed GMPP Connect & Cruise 376/525 with T-56 S/M 3.55 gears about 2 years ago! 1/4 miles is with old setup!

The current owner does not know, however, the previous owner told me they were mechanical secondaries. How can I determine if that is factual?
