I wish you the best of luck. I was growing tired of being an orphan.

cycleguy55 11-08-2015 07:03 AM

Ryan: I live just outside Regina (White City). I looked at your FB page (not updated in over a year, BTW). I spoke to the last owners of CR II in the spring of 2014 and got the clear impression they had 'lost everything to the bank', so this is very interesting news. Best wishes for great success, BTW!

PM me if you want to get together and talk cars, Cobras, etc.

Will parts be available

Along with turn key cars will you be selling CR parts for those of us with the original Classic roadsters?

Ron61 11-10-2015 02:29 AM

Glad to see someone starting Classic Roadsters up again. I wish you success and hope that you can help some of the people that have them and still need parts.

Ron

I don't have the original frame jigs but we will do the best we can to help out the guys with the original kits

Double Venom 11-13-2015 02:53 AM

PLEASE PLEASE, PLEASE, Please, please, don't change the Frame.
DV

P.S. Move north - "Up there" !? I did just move "Up there!"

Bscott77 11-17-2015 07:44 AM

They will have to change the frames, unless they have a Classic Roadsters there that they are copying. Everything Classic Roadsters is rotting in a landfill other than the body molds that the crook Bob Wrightson stole from us.

Bumpers

will you carry the original tubular bumpers for a CCR? all the other kit bumpers have different hole spacing.

Glad to hear it. Just up the road from me in Biddeford Maine, was Maine-ly Classic which was the Classic Roadster. I guess they got into some legal trouble about who owned what, but the cars always looked great and great quality.

gn_n_60_shelby 02-07-2016 04:40 PM

hello yes we will be selling the bumpers in the near future

gn_n_60_shelby 02-21-2016 07:02 PM

hello all

first off an update on the progress of the Canadian classic roadsters cobra revival

the first brand new classic roadsters body in a very long time has been pulled from the now fixed up molds. the body looks amazing.

now what I am needing is to find a unbuilt kit or a kit that's partially built that the owner doesn't plan to build this year.

here is my offer in black and white.

for the person who supplies me with a unbuilt kit for the remainder of this project, you in return will receive a brand new Canadian classic roadsters cobra roller.

I know some wont like the changes being made to the new chassis, but from a engineering standpoint this will be the best cobra replica we
can build and one that will stand the test of time.

the updated chassis will be IRS and sn95 mustang front suspension, powder coated chassis(optional but ill include it in the build) rear thunderbird diff.
rear thunderbird uprights, all the car will need is paint ,(can paint at cost if owner wants) drive line and interior installed. I need to reverse engineer most of the assemblies and modify the chassis I have in my possession that's not a classic roadsters chassis. any chrome work that you have will be installed on the car,

if the owner supplies me with a drive line we will install it for you. your body will be used in the build and any damaged fibreglass will be replaced with new parts, we use the best fibreglass techniques and the best team of fabricators

we will be offering more hood scoop options then CR did.

if there is anyone who is interested in this offer please let me know via a PM
drawings and scans of the chassis wont work for the government im dealing with and we will be reverse engineering the entire chassis to be the best cobra replica on the market.

with a little help classic roadsters will be back in business by summer time.

Good and not so good

Hi,
The sn95 front will work good, have it on my Daytona. Bigger taller scoop like the wider twin Paxton scoop would be great.
However the T bird rear is not my choice, axles are weak, need aftermarket ones and bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/4 not 5 on 4 1/2. Bushings are all too soft also. A 5 link solid rear would work better. Let me know if you have that as an option.
Here is a pic of Levy 5 link used in racing, something like this would be great.
Perry.

gn_n_60_shelby 02-21-2016 08:12 PM

hello yes ill be offering a straight axle option, the rear irs bushings are all aftermarket. ffr used the same setup as an option. and yes ill be offering the supersnake hood scoop along with a cobra scoop enlarged to cover bigger engines

I have a flat side Sebring and I need some parts. Do you have any parts for them yet?

Double Venom 06-03-2016 12:45 AM

Ryan, so darned up beat & impressed I'm vibrating!
