Hi,
I found in my last 2 cobra's that the rad is not big enough for HOT summer driving. A larger rad with built in trans cooler would be on my list as a must have.

When I built my car the CR parts were not available so I bought an aluminum rad that fit. (26x19 iirc) With about 600 hp it never overheats. When I caught a rock and had to have it repaired, I had to undo the front suspension to get it out though. It was either that or lift the body. If you end up having to design one, please give some consideration to easier removal.

hello the new cars will have an aluminum rad and the rad now comes out from the bottom of the car, so you will need to lift the car up to change or repair the rad.

I am going to take a look at mine when I get back home today. I am cannot remember but a if I remember correctly but I think the steering rack sits in the way of the radiator from being dropped from the car.
gn_n_60_shelby, I have mine mounted and coolant going through the system but I will be happy to send pics and measurements.
Otherwise maybe we could work something out depending on how long you needed it for.

On the West Coast Cobra the radiator is supported by an assembly that unbolts and drops out the bottom. Obviously a lift is required for removal and installation, but it's a very good idea.
