Texas title
Mine was titled 66 Ford. I asked the state and they said that's incorrect, has to be yr of mfg and state " 66 Shelby Cobra Replica.
Also require certified mechanic check and police dept paper work. And no classic car plates etc. Im upset--any one run into this. The state lady even made a note on my title records that I have to make these changes or I can't sell the car--- Any thoughts?:( |
My CR was registered as a replica 66 cobra in Hawaii and I ran into some confusion about it when I tried to register it here in Texas because the ladies
hadn't seen this before in the satellite office - she made a phone call and was told to just do the new title and register it. That was a relief! |
You have some reading and preparation to do ... see the "Assembled and Rebuilt Vehicle Manual" for all the details.

My BDR is titled as a 1965 Cobra... so it is possible...
