Default Cobra with bb 427

I was seeing all you guys saying how these cars are always trying to kill you, I had absolutely no idea how much fun these thing are with this bb 427,it is built runs on 110 octane face fuel, it is definitely a handful, all you have to do to break the tires loose is roll into the throttle, turn a corner and touch the throttle and its drifting, I will never allow anyone to take it for a ride, love this thing...yes its a 427 ford

Looks like this is your first Cobra and it is still relatively new to you.

Try to find a large parking lot without stores, or one with stores when the stores are closed, that has a minimum of light posts (hard to do). Play with the car out there where you can't accidentally hit something. Learn the car's limits and breakaway thresholds. It sounds silly but it will save you from a bad experience later on, on the street.

Be careful. First rule for newbie is never accelerate unless wheels ate pointed straight forward. And even then the rears can scoot.

I detune the engine to 93 octane. I can't imagine dealing with a race gas engine in c car that probably uses more gas to get gas.. Unless you buy it in drums and even then you're looking at a buck to drive a mile

Default Race fuel

We get it at the track, $12 a gallon, not about gas price, we ran dirt superlate, we would burn 10-20 gallons a night, this cobra will burn much less fuel in a summer, and I hope lots less repairs...lol

and always watch the crown of the road... the rear end often will head for the low side!

That is what I did with my very 1st car (54 yrs ago!). One of the best ways to understand what happens to a car when it exceeds both its and your abilities!

Jay Leno phrased it nicely.
"A Cobra is like driving a hand grenade!"

One guy I gave a short but spirited ride to remarked,
"Never went zero to terrifying before."
