bake distribution block suggestions
Hello all,
Into my build, its a never stared CRII kit. I'm running a 302/5.0 with an 8.8 from a 91 fox, changed to 5 lug axles and sn95 calipers in the rear with gm single piston calipers on a mustang II front end from Heidts. I'm using tilton pedals with the dual brake reservoir and bias bar adjustment, so I don't think I need a proportioning valve. But I do think I need a brake distribution block. any suggestions on what to use?

If you are speaking of the T-blocks where the brake lines split for the front wheels and the rear wheels, it will depend on the fittings on the lines running to and from them. Summit Racing has a good selection if you know the fitting sizes. If you are asking what size fittings they are, I don't know.

rear brakes
Hi,
you need an inline proportioning valve to the rear brakes and take out 40% pressure to rear brakes as they will lock up sooner than front . Speedway sells them.

I think I'm on the same page as Tommy. You would only need a tee for the front and a tee for the back. Keep the front and rear separate.
Generally, a "distribution block" can include a proportioning pressure valve and a shuttle for a "brake" warning light. With dual masters, proper MS sizes and a balance bar you should be able to work with what you have.

I agree. No proportioning valve is needed.

You don't need a distribution block for proper functioning of the braking system, as the balance bar will take care of that.
OTOH, you'll still need one to satisfy inspectors if your jurisdiction requires a functional brake system warning lamp.

Yes, provided that the master cylinders are sized right for your brake packages.
