I wouldn't put a Holley anything on my car.
As mentioned a interrupt switch can be installed.
I would avoid the "inline" approach with the mechanical and just go with a reliable electric.If your manual diaphram ruptures,the electric will fill your crankcase with fuel.
Also it would help things if a return line is run to avoid "deadheading" the pump.Not to mention cooler fuel at the carb.
