Hey all, been a lurker here for a bit as I was researching various models and found this site to be incredibly informative. Recently picked up a Superformance MKIII and love learning about the car and driving it even more.

Cheers

Forgot to mention its an '06, 351w stroker to 408. I've heard conflicting hp and tq numbers but don't really care that much at this point. Looking forward to learning the limits of the car on the track. I come from a motorcycle racing background and excited to get this car prepped for some track time. I'm in the SF Bay Area.

All the best!

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. I've been basically "commuting" into work virtually every day since I've owned it. I can't seem to make it past the car in the garage without getting in it.

My superformance 18" wheels for the track just came in...that's a good way to kickstart the morning.

Welcome Supersf! You will find a wealth of knowledge and experience here. You will learn that a tough skin and sense of humor is sometimes required. Lots of good folks up in the Bay Area you should get to know as well.
Enjoy!

Thanks Bernica. This site was my main resource as I was researching various models and options....and what led me to ultimately choose my car. So I owe this forum and members quite a bit for bringing some addt'l joy in my life!

I used to moderate a couple motorcycle forums so I completely get the "tough skin" requirement. Looking forward to meeting up with some of the bay area folks. Especially for some tips as I prep the car for the track.

Cheers

You picked a nice car that will serve you well and when and if you decide to sell you will be pleased with the residual value of a SPF. Not many things will hold their value as a Cobra will. Of course some more than others.

Welcome to the world of Cobra's.

I'm having the wheels powder coated and will post pics ASAP. Also, doing some basic maintenance and changing out all gaskets. It's idling a
tiny bit off so need to see if I can pinpoint the issue...and hoping this will get me more familiar with the car.

Hello Supersf,

Welcome to the forum. You are not alone in coming from the motorcycle/racing world. The owner of Berkeley Yamaha on Gliman st just this past season started open tracking his 69 Boss302. Not a stock B2, but prepped for track duty, he also drives it through the Berkeley hills is where I met him. Though not a Cobra you two can probably share a similar transition. Congrats on your SPF I'm sure you'll get it sorted in good time.

Cheers

Thanks, Earl. I'll keep an eye out for him...and for your cobra as well as I drive mine through the Berkeley hills/Grizzly Peak regularly.

Hi Supersf,
