im planning on a ls motor LS1 or LS2.
can it b register as a 1966?
can it pass with out wiper blades?
with a ls motor does it need emission test?

Your first step will be to contact the specialty constructed vehicle section of the Illinois secretary of states police division. They will send you a list of required items and steps to titling your kit. Keep receipts for all items, especially large ones(kit, engine, trans, and so on). Also you will need to show sales taxes paid on all big and some small items. Taxes need to be paid in a 30 day time frame of purchase dates so be careful.

LS-1 or LS-2 ??

Is that a chebbie/bowtie? You know chebbie builds motors. Only Ford builds Engines  I'll bet your thinking of putting a small block in a big block FFR MKIV body too! Oh the shame!! :o Just a thought M8! FFR comes out with there small block version slabside & FIA this summer. Based on the MKIV frame!!:3DSMILE: They ought to be something special. If you must go small block give the FIA or slabside a serious look, I don't think you'll be disapointed. if your going with a big block, even if it's has to be a chebbie:eek::CRY::o then stay with the MKIV In any case! HAVE A BLAST!
AND

WELCOME TO THE ADDICTION  THERE IS NO CURE :D

There's a section of this forum for the Windy City Cobra Club, you may ask your question there. We have several Illinois members in our club that may also respond to this question, I'll give them a head's up.
