Default New to the Cobra scene

I just bought a 1967 West Coast Cobra 351w. I need to find out what the gross vehicle weight of this model is for registration purposes. Can anyone help? Thanks!

When I got my Cobra the DMV required a certified weight. I got mine at the local stone yard. Try a landscaping center that sells bulk gravel, etc. Truck stops usually have scales too.

Thanks for the tip. I am certain that the local blacktop company has a scale that will do this

Hey Okfalls. Congrats on your WCC purchase. Our WCC are one of the heaviest Cobras out there due to their frame design and construction. Ive never weighed my WCC. It will depend on your engine and transmission combo to get an accurate number guestimate, im assuming you cant take your car to a local scale to weigh it so your asking here on the forum. Most WCC will be in 2800-3100 lbs range for GVW. If you have a small block with alum heads you’ll be on the lighter side and if you have a 429/460 with old iron heads youll be closer to 3100 lbs.

It would be nice hear from other WCC / Kellison Stallion owners who have weighed their cars and let us know their drivetrain choice.

Enjoy the ride

Thanks so much for your information. I am set to have the car on a commercial scale next week, and will report back the weight.
