Default New Member - Should I buy this?

Okay, so I've always lusted after these things but only now in later life in a financial position to lash out & get one. So here's my first "cheap" possible that's at auction atm but for the life of me, I'm a little confused as to what this kit is and/or why they seem to have modded the tail lights like this. I'm thinking of buying & changing back....but unsure of the cost, so wanting to know if anyone knows of this kit or what you think of the look (I don't like) and whether it worthwhile to buy & mod back.

Here is the unvarnished truth: This is not a Cobra replica. It is a body with some Cobra-like styling cues squished together to fit on some OEM car chassis. It's disproportionate, awkward and ugly and it will earn its owner a mixture of pity and derision at any gathering of Cobras and/or Cobra replicas. No amount of modifications or alterations will improve on this in any meaningful way.

Thanks for that Buzz, I was starting to feel a little like that.

Just for sake of it I got hold of extra info from the auction house, seems to have had engineering & rego here in Oz back in 2002, on a Toyota Crown chassis & is running a ford 302 + C4 auto + pure LPG. The interior etc seem finished off different to most - not sure where it's from but I think the extra work req'd with that rear end is just too off putting for me, even though the price is only sitting at AUD 25K atm.

Just say no and walk away quietly while still holding on to your hard earned cash. Then spend a lot more time here, researching the cars and what is, and what is not. Click on the link in my sig line, then go from there.
