New Owner, need help with identifying
Hello, I'm a brand new owner of a passed down incomplete Cobra project with very little documentation. I need help identifying what manufacturer the car came from. I know it has a round tube chassis but that's it really. Car is 80% finished, still needs wiring completed, interior finished, and then painted. I'm sure there's more than that to really finish it but that's the major stuff. So, what pictures can I post to help identify the manufacturer of this kit? Thanks |

All sides. Engine compartment. Rear-end and front-end suspension. Most mfgrs put some kind of tag on or near the drivers side footbox.

Or stamp the information into the frame, somewhere. The somewhere part can be the challenge.

				 Help
Photographs as noted above, YES. The next thing, I would do is measure the wheel base, 90 inches or is it greater than 90. You will be able to eliminate a number of car companies by this measurement. The fact that you said, it had a round chassis also eliminates a lot of manufacturers. EM used a round tube chassis but used numerous suspensions systems, but the round tube chassis limits the number of manufacturers.

Round frame sort of narrows it down quite a bit. |

I'll wait for the well lit, detailed pictures to be posted, can then offer my opinion.

 Items I'd like to see:
 Front and rear suspension
 Full engine compartment and firewall
Full dash, door hinges and transmission tunnel
Trunk (nice wide shot showing it all)
 Body front, rear, side

Being able to tell what Cobra kit you have on your hands is all in the details above.

Steve has posted pictures . if you click on his name then albums they show. they don't show for me if I click on photos. I think he is too new to post to the forums. looks like round tube chassis with an independent 9 inch. |

@Steve350f, reach out to the AZ. Club Cobra group, right there in Pheonix.
Lots of great guys, that know Cobras, I bought my last one there with Just Karl or I call him Karlos (Bebout) and Scotty's PPI, they were kind enough to give it a true going over for me, it was everything they said it was.
Just watch that Karlos he's quite the character Cheers TommyRot. |
