Default Hello!

I was looking for a source of information about building a Superformance MkIII. I'll be retiring to the Phoenix area in a little over 3 years and one of the 1st things I'm going to do is build my own Cobra. I want to know as much as possible up front, so I' starting my research now. This seemed like a good place to acquire some kowledge.
I've been working on cars for more than 40 years. I've served as crew chief on an SCCA Trans Am race team, so I feel I have the fabrication and assembly skills. My current ride is an '05 GTO that's been mildly modified to produce 383 rwhp. It's a fun daily driver.
For now I'll lurk and learn. Thanks in advance for sharing what you know.

Superformance only available as a roller - completed minus engine and tranny.

Here is link to thread that contains my Excel file listing worldwide manufacturers and their website/tel #.

List of Manufacturers

Good luck and good retirement. I bought my Superformance completed ... traded a big check for a little key. Vroooooooooom. No waiting for a build.

Welcome to your new home.

There are other cars you can builld. May I suggest a search for the other manufacturers. Kirkham and superperformance are two that are rollers when you get them.

I'll find no shame in completing a roller. All of the racecars I dealt with were rollers to start.
I like what I've seen and read about Superformance. Kirkham has one of the more desrable products because of the aluminum body, but the price is a little too dear. I want the best fit and finish, and the most performance I can get for my $50k budget. And I don't want to deal with too much paint work. For now Superformance s the best fit for what I want to do, but I still have a lot to learn. That's why I registered here.

OK, I may change my mind as I learn more. I'm impressed by what I've read about the Lone Star Classics and Shell Valley kits.
I have a lot to learn.
