Right now I think FFR is ahead of everyone on a mod-motor cobra. If the car isn't wrecked or trashed, are you sure you want to chop it up as a donor?

If it is a nice drivable car it would make little sense to chop it up for a cobra replica. Might I suggest selling it and finding a wrecked suitable donor for far less cash, and then using the leftover cash for purchase of your kit. A FFR MkIII kit would be a good choice for that donor. chuck

I believe Premier Motorsports can accept a modern Ford cammer motor too.

				 96 cobra
well the reason i think it would make since is because the car has 125,000 miles on it still runs strong, has 373 gears, alot of mods, well i still owe about 4 or 5,000 on it.and if i sold it i would only get about 9,000 for it,and i dont think i could get a good donar car for 4,000,with all the mods my car has that i can mor use of the mod parts.you guys that have the kit cars, are they funner to drive than the mustangs,p.s my car would also be needing a paint job soon too,its still shiny but has alot of scuffs and scratches.

If you noticed a difference between a bland family sedantype of car and your Mustang for fun driving - guess what -
you are in for a major treat if and when you move up - you
won't be disappointed - it's a whole new world out there!

				 Not paid for?
The way I see it if you still owe money on the 96 Cobra neither the bank or the insurance company is going to be happy about you chopping up "their" car. You have a few choices. Pay off the 96 Cobra and THEN chop it up. Sell the 96 Cobra and save your money for a kit. You are asking for trouble if you chop up the car without paying it off first.

				 96 cobra
what i meant was i will be paying off the car,im getting a small loan against my home, then pay off my car and either get a ffr kit or the era,but what i can find out is that the era is a nicer cobra, but it won't accept the 4.6 cobra engine.and probably ffr is the only one that make's the kit that will work with it.

Premier does have a set up for your engine, they are running one (although highly modified) in their "competition/customer ride" car. http://www.premiercobras.com/
