Huston, we have a problem..... seems Robbers Roost is only open for Sunday Brunch, nothing breakfast-wise on Saturday.
Any suggestions for an alternative? Either in Forsethill or.... ?

A Forest Hill eats link. We can just get breakfast up there somewhere... Starlight Cafe? Everybody's Inn... no big. See if there might be parking near the post office up there. Try these locations/numbers. They may know of others nearby with parking.

I spoke with the StarLite Cafe and we're set. It's across the street from Wonton's Market on Foresthill Rd.
Some of us will be meeting at Douglas and Folsom/Auburn Road (there is a Starbuck's on the north-west corner in the Raley's shopping center) at 8:15 AM and heading up to I-80/Auburn at 8:30 and then on to Foresthill. We "should" be at the Foresthilll exit by 9-9:15, where there is a Chevron station if others want to meet up.

Funny you guys mention Photoguy. He's been a professional photographer and teacher of photography for the last 35 years. Seems lately he set the camera aside a bit, but just today he went out and bought a brand new Camera; I bet he'll have it with him Saturday.

Glad you can make it - If you are coming up I-80, take the Douglas (east) exit and headed out Douglas toward (and almost to) Folsom Lake. Turn left on Aburn/Folsom Road, and then another quick left into the parking lot where Starbuck's is located.
We will be leaving at 8:30, so allow yourself enough time if you are coming from Sac. See you there.

The wife just called and informed me that there is an endurance race from Tahoe and it goes through Foresthill...on Saturday.......Think it will cause a problem?

It's the Western States Endurance Run from Sqaw to Auburn. They start at 5 AM, so it's unlikely we will even encounter them. Here's the link w/info for all you runners out there

I hope everyone enjoyed the drive this morning as much as my daughter and I did. I think we have a very good group of folks that enjoy their cars and each others company, which doesn't always work out that way. And, in my estimation, we stumbled on a winner with the StarLite Cafe. The owner said he would be happy to reserve the patio area for us next time we are up that way.
Okay, so where are the photos? Or are we going to wait for the locals to post all the pics they took
