Mechanical Throttle Linkage for Factory Five

I am making some changes to a Factory Five cobra. There is a cable linkage setup right now on the car but it has a sticking point. The cable comes out of the front foot box up high and makes a sharp right turn and then bends again to make the turn come into the rear of the carburetor. Does anyone make a better setup or mechanical one like ERA but will work with the Factory Five?
Thanks for the help!

You will have to custom make it yourself. You can get all the parts from McMaster-Carr

I make all the parts for them per original if you wanted to try some parts to see if it will work for your set up.

Try turning the carb around and having a front entry to the cable. Some have done it to eliminate the S bend.

Ernie,

I recently did a modification that allowed the cable to pull the throttle from the front of the carb, not the back. Great modification, looks great, works 100% better. I did this for the same reason you are looking at the mechnical.

If I had to do it all over again, I would go mechnical, but it would be really tough in my engine bay. This front cable pull is the way to go, and was really easy to do.

Mechanical linkage is on my to-do list. Here's another source for parts if you want to fab your own.

Do you also make original style brake and clutch pedal shafts?

I am in the process of building a big block FFR and I am looking for a larger gas tank, anyone know where one can be obtained? Stock Mustang tank doesn't give much cruising range.

Fuel Safe makes a fuel cell that holds 20+ gallons and bolts right in

Do you want a tank or a cell?

I run the stock cable on my ffr with the cable coming out of the foot box making one u bend and it is from the front, I used a throttle cable bracket from summit and had to fab a mount to lock the cable. here are a few pics.
