I "rescued" ERA #326 from a garage in Michigan in November. The car was built in 1993. The build had good intentions but poor results. We disassembled the car completely and started over.
The car was completely stripped to bare glass and refinished in PPG Base Coat/Clear Coat Guardaman Blue w/ no stripes. We purchased a standard bore 390 from a Fairlane and built a .030 over Edelbrock 425 HP package consisting of Edelbrock RPM Aluminum Heads, Intake and Custom Grind Camshaft. This is a 9.5:1 Compression engine and will run with most anything. We have done several build ups using this combo and the results are exceptional. Polished LeMans valve covers, Barry Grant Carb, Electric Fuel Pump, Turkey Pan,
Oil Cooler, etc. The car has a big in/out Toploader, Centerforce "Dual Friction" Clutch and a custom 9" Ford fully independent rear suspension w/ inboards and 5 lug spindles which use the ERA Halibrand "look a likes" and Wilwood 6 Piston front calipers on the front. As of now, the rear end is out being disassembled and inspected for any defects.
I sent the pipes to Airborne and had the primaries coated in silver and the outside exhaust done in white. The centers of the wheels are also white so the car will look fantastic.
We are about 1 month from complrtion and can have the car delivered to a new owner by April 1. I would prefer phone calls over e-mails because I am a poor typist and I feel I can be more thorough with any necessary information. I know there is more to be said so feel free to call. I have owned ERA #208 and #402, 2 Contemporary Cars and 2 Superformance cars so I have a good feel for Cobras and like to do things right. The car will be priced somewhere in the LOW $40's done. Thanks!
