Just for the record, we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary last month. WOW! Hard to believe that myself. My wife would cost much muich more than $30K. She's still my chick.

The cobra was purchased 4/25/95 by the orginial owner. He drove it from his home to the golf course that was very near by and had only put 1025 miles when I brought it 2 years ago.

40 years + still your chick = invaluable :)

trs900 09-08-2006 09:46 AM

Man you must be old  I've only been married 37 years. I will tell my friend today.

What is the rwhp on the Ford 351W?

Gburg

Poolw 09-12-2006 02:41 PM

This 351 has never been dynoed, so the answer is - it could be what ever you want to build it to. The motor is 300+ hp so I would guess the rwhp would be about 12% less or about 264?

Gburg 09-12-2006 03:10 PM

Oh, OK. I have seen 351s listed as 350-425 hp. i was inquiring what was the output of your 351. I am sure it moves the Cobra right along.

I didn't mean to sound mean, but do the math 300 hp with a 2400 pound car Cobra = 400 hp with a 3200 pound car Vett. It's too close to call.

Badger 09-13-2006 01:53 PM

Don't go Viper..that's just a modern, heavier, slower copy of the Daytona Cobra. Check out Superformance and stay Cobra! :0) Badger

OK. No offense taken. Sounds like a peppy ride. Sounds like it would give my C6 a good run or even beat it.
