Where is the originality police? This thing has to be blasphemy! Coper just cannot be allowed. Mr. Shelby never built anything like this, and coper was available and cheap at the time. At least with a 351C or a 385 series (or a modular) you could argue, that had one of these engines been available, Carrol would have used it. I just cannot believe no one is po-poing this car. Talk about someone pulling out a pen and writing a check!

Your right, I been holding back! :D

How dare they offer such a monstrosity of incorrectness! What next? Some abortion of a Willys done in copper as well? Have they NO respect for authenticity?

...so there ya go.

Thanks....... I feel better now. The whole world was out of kilter for a bit. **)

If your world was out of kilter because you didn't have Ernie's input then you need some serious work. ;)

I'm guessing an ally body would be about 150-200 pounds

Aluminum bodies are closer to 50 lbs.

1ntCobra 11-14-2006 10:59 AM

You know if I had a few other Kirkhams and some extra money burning a hole in my wallet, I might consider picking up a copper one.

But If I did have the money for only one Kirkham, which I don't, I would want an aluminum body. I'd rathter have the lighter car than the pretty one.

big-boss 11-14-2006 11:36 AM

That car would look really cool- If I were driving it with my teeth capped in copper. Maybe even a fur coat on for total coolness..

JWheaton 11-14-2006 11:45 AM

I'd paint it. Maybe black:rolleyes:

David said that they were going to make 10 of these cars, as Kirkham Anniversary cars. However, that was before they got involved with other projects, so not sure if that is still planned. Most likely not.

Why waste the paint, leave it outside and it will turn black.
