Those photos show what could be a marine or an industrial engine. I remember reading during my research that many of these were rejected automotive units, which were deemed ok for low-rpm industrial / marine use.
Also, that block was cast as a side-oiler, but the galleries were drilled as a top-oiler. The gallery plugs are missing from the rear and side of the block. I looked at one of these before I found my block.
