Re:
BinB / Computerworks,
I was not kidding when I asked, a Cobrette "is today" a kit being offered out there. I thought BinB's car might have been one of these Cobrette kit Cobras (or some version of a West Coast Cobra) but it appears the joke reference is just a coincidence. See this link for the Cobrette offered today: http://www.vipercarparts.com/kits.html |

Rich Lacey has been hired, and his brother will pick up my car and Vern Redel on Friday, then back to Nebraska to pick up Rich, then all of 'em will head out here to deliver my reptile. Rich is a great guy and I look forward to meeting him this weekend.
Supposedly all that is left right now on my cobra, is the alignment, dropping an air filter onto the motor, starting her again, some work on the soft top, and the cockpit surround moulding install (This last detail or two may be left for me to finish after delivery) I will let you all know if there are any new developments. Thanks for the support !;) |
Chuckle!
I can just see B&B in his kitchen sharpening that "big ass" sword of his! Now to the living room for a few practice rounds....... Vern arrives..... the Snake is unloaded and started....... "What! A problem!"........ Here comes the sword!.... "Now off with his head!"
Or better yet how about a dagger to the eye balls! Oh my speaking of balls............ Vern is singing in saprano now! B&B I counldn't resist a little hummor.... I hope everyting goes well! Mike |
Um
Rattan Nunchaku or Rattan Kali sticks are so much more fun, and the fun would last longer :3DSMILE:
Seriously, I am hoping for the best, and will post pics of what transpires %/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Late today my motor was started again, and it is good to go, according to Vern. Alignment tommorrow, and hopefully the other small details also done, so I can have a nearly completed cobra ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
Well Steve,
I hope you got you car, but I gotta tell ya, you have to have had your head in the sand this past year. We have all watched this thing and known you were out of your league. With any luck your "Poissan Girl" will be on the road in short order, but more than likely you are in for months and months of finish work and excuse making while Vern laughs his a$$ off knowing you really won't do anything, as litigation will cost more than you could ever collect. Maybe, in the future, you could back off on the "I'm a big deal who only buys and has the best" and the "I'm a Macho swordsman with a black 'whatever'" and join the real world. |
Sorry to disappoint you Bish
But my car will be on the road to me tommorrow..will be here at my home on sunday. It is completed, and Rich's Classic Transport is picking it up. Vern will meet them with the completed cobra.
BiB |
Well, I really am glad Steve, hope the car is all you hoped it would be. Come down off your perch and join us.

You make it seem so appealing... how can I say no ?
Is the rubber hose beating free, or do I have to pay extra for that ? |
No, the beating is free! We'll verbally kick the crap out of you just like we do every one else. Bring your sword and we'll make fun of it just like we make fun of everything else. The more seriously you take yourself the less.......well you get the idea!

I want the end seat at the ROUND TABLE!
TURK |
Or better still the round seat near the end table:)
|
BIB,
Haven't heard of or from you in three weeks. Whats up?? Harris |
Calling BiB
He has been enjoying his Cobra after and eternity of waiting.....or he went to the hospital to have the ear to ear grin sewed up....or went for a drive and hasn't stopped...take your pick...
HEY BiB.......come up for air!! |
He is out wiring for a network.
TURK |
Well, we all know what eventually happened..
And I must state here that Bish Wheeler was right. He called it right on the money as far as all I have had to do to fix my cobra. But at least after an additional $10 grand  I will have pretty much the car I originally ordered. And I did have a lot of fun last summer until she croaked @ 3,000 miles
Today the 514 is going to be re-installed. In fact in about an hour we will begin the work. :MECOOL: |
Interesting to see this post show up after 4 months.
BinB: Hope all goes well with your car. West Coast (Vern): Be glad there are still others who will defend you. This makes your company look bad. This was a bad deal - glad BinB has the resources to make things right. |
4 months?
Try 16 months!! Last post was February 13 2003. It got revived after 16 months? This may not look good for Vern but such vigilante action does not speak well of the complainer either. We all know what is going on. There has been other threads that are current on this subject. Why dig this one out of the grave? This is not a moderator comment. I am NOT a moderator. Just a member comment. Spare the flames.. TURK |
Because....
I just noticed that several people had posted responses, and I missed responding to them ;)
|
C'mon BiB.....Can we quit this nonsense??? You had/have a problem...You voiced the problems, and EVERYONE is well aware of the issues. Isn't it obvious that your driving people up the wall with the constant whining about the problems? I have had engine problems too, and I've spent more money than you fixing mistakes, but after whining a bit, getting some help from the gang, I let it go publicly.....It sucks, but suck it up!
Turk, go to your room.... |
Again?
