				 backdraft roadster anthem motors
I am new to the club and a new cobra owner!!!! I just purchased a Backdraft roadster, 392, tremec, from anthem motors. Its currently being finished and I have been thrilled working with John at Anthem motors. He has emailed me status reports, sent me pics as the build goes together, and he really gone the extra mile for me. I will keep you posted and post pics when its done. I will be in the forum this winter while its to nasty to drive but anthem motors is sure worth a look if you are interested in a deal on a backdraft! I was shocked at he well he has taken care of me up to this point....Thanks John! |

Its silver with black stripes, original 427 shifter, ceramic coated headers, oil cooler, fire extinguisher, black leather interior, 392 stroker (crate) saw some actual dyno results on one and it dyno's 461HP and 454 ft lbs of torque (ford advertises 430hp) 3.10 gears, tremec 3550 trans, alum pullys, single roll bar, BMW rear, 4 wheel discs. I cant wait to get it. I have some pics already and will have some more this week and will post them. When I get it I will post lots more! It looks great so far and John has really been there for me. If I stop calling him he could probbaly finish my car!!! |

bullseyeprec, do yourself a big favor and go have it dynoed yourself. You may be supprised. Just because the engine language says it has that horse power doesn't mean it has the go and numbers in your car. From someone that knows. If you get those numbers....well great! Don't count on it though. I had mine done at Dyno Comp in Phoenix and am going back after some adjustments. |

How much does the 392 motor weigh? I was just wondering about the front springs? Are they using the stock springs?

Bullseyeprec, I also have a 392 crate in a backdraft. I had a high performance shop tune it with a Davinci carb and it dynod 347 to the rear wheel. They told me it converts to about 410-420 out of the motor. I was surprised to hear someone got 461 out of the same engine. Even with 347 rear wheel it runs pretty good. Good luck on yours. | I think you're about 1,000 lbs. high on that, unless you got the extra lead option.
